We feel it is incredibly important to be transparent about the charges involved in arranging a funeral with us and appreciate that not everyone has the time available or feels comfortable with telephoning or visiting all the funeral companies they want to approach when obtaining prices for their services. This is why we have made our pricing structure available below and are the only funeral director in Wirral to do so.
We appreciate that choosing a funeral director is based on numerous factors not least whether you ‘warm’ to the people who are going to be looking after the arrangements for your loved one. Although we have published our prices for easy accessibility if you would prefer to speak with either Robert or Karen personally about your individual needs or have any queries please do not hesitate to contact us – no obligation, no hard sell – just a friendly voice happy to help and advise.
The charges that make up the final invoice include the funeral director’s charges (see standardised price list) and the disbursements.
Disbursements are monies that we pay to third parties on your behalf, some of which are obligatory depending on the choices made. Examples of obligatory costs when cremation is opted for are doctor’s fees for completing cremation certification, the crematorium’s fee; when a burial is chosen you may need to purchase a right to bury and in all cases there will be a fee for opening the grave for the interment.
There are many other non-obligatory disbursements that we may pay on your behalf: minister, church or celebrant fees, organist fees, newspaper announcements, service sheets, flowers to name but a few. Whatever you ask us to undertake for you we will provide you with a full written estimate and explain where the costs come from.
